A new one - a bit easier

Here's another numbers one: ;)

If 1=3, and 6=3, and 1-6=11, what do the following equal?
12=?
47+3=?
3-3=?

Ok, I know some people don't like numbers ones. I'm sorry.

1 = one = 3 letters
6 = six = 3 letters
But just doing that would have been too easy - so I tried to confuse you by including the number of letters in "minus" and "plus"

So, 1-6 = one minus six = 11
And so on.
